Building & Construction
Construction law is an area that cuts across a number of other areas of practice. Members appear in proceedings for home owners, builders and property developers and often both for and against strata bodies corporate in jurisdictions as diverse as the New South Wales Civil & Administrative Tribunal, the District Court, and in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in both the Commercial List and the Technology and Construction List. Matters include proceedings taken under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW), the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW) and general construction litigation.
